Visit the mystical Tarra-Bulga National Park

Walking into the park it becomes obvious that you are about to embark on an environmental experience. Many different species of ferns, coupled with an incredible diversity of birdlife, includimg the elusive lyrebird, make this park their home. The park is also haven for wildlife such as the kangaroo, wallaby, possum and the ever-shy platypus.

The name Tarra-Bulga applies to the entire park which is broken down into two areas, namely Tarra and Bulga. At both picnic areas there are car parks, picnic shelters, tables, barbecues, on tap water and toilets.

At the Bulga picnic area there is information available in leaflet form, helping the visitor to identify some of the rare flora along the nature walk which leads to the ever-famous swing bridge overlooking a thick gully of fems and natural bush. The Tarra picnic area has both short and long walks, one of which leads to the Cyathea Falls
